Aloha Friday! Hosting?

Photobucket

It's Aloha Friday!

My Aloha Friday question is:

Photobucket

Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year?

I'm not hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year. We are going over to my Mom's house and I'm bringing a few side dishes plus dessert. How's that for easy? =)

Head on over to An Island Life for more Aloha Friday questions and to play.

  2. No, in fact I never have - but we are still young enough that our parents and even grandparents still hold that spot and they're GOOD at it. We're going to my in-laws for lunch and my grandmother's for dessert.

  3. Yes indeed! I LOVE cooking Thanksgiving dinner--I do it every year and have it down to a fine science. I love changing my table settings every year--this year it's going to be orange and turquoise--sounds weird but I think it will be pretty! I'm also doing a kids table this year which I haven't done in the past--but there are so many kids now there's no more room at the main table!

I'm sure that's way more than you wanted to know!!

  4. I am, but it's just my husband and myself, our kids and my brother-in-law and his wife. Very low key. I bet we'll have tons of leftovers!! :)

  5. Not hosting but still will be making just for the yummy leftovers!

We're going to a family who has "adopted" us! She is one of the best cooks ever & won't let anyone bring anything!! Can you say elastic waist band?

  6. Yes, it'll be just us and my inlaws. Very low-key here too...making a turkey breast instead of the whole bird. Hopefully that will make things a little easier. Have a great Thanksgiving!

  7. I am not hosting this year. We will be traveling my parent's house this year. I hosted for the first time last year. It was fun, but a bit stressful since I had 7 house guests and my son was 3 months old at the time and wanted nothing more than for mommy to hold him. Maybe we will host next year if we can get our family to come again!

  9. No thank goodness. I am an awful cook so it is much safer for everyone if I go and be a guest.

  10. No, we are heading to my aunt's house to have dinner with my father's side of the family. My boys are excited to see my cousins that will be in town.

I will likely never host since my house is small and my hubby's sister "owns" the holiday as far as that side of the family is concerned.

  12. I'm from Canada, so we already had Thanksgiving on October 13th. My in-laws hosted, so all I had to do was bring hashbrown casserole and pumpkin bread! I usually do host, so it was nice to not hassle with a turkey for one year!
