This past Sunday evening at bedtime started out like any other Sunday night at bedtime...
Jammies on, bottle of water next to me on nightstand, snuggled up on my feather bed wrapped in my crocheted blanket that keeps me nice and toasty ever since my heating blanket died, flipping through channels looking for something fab to watch knowing that like any other Sunday, there will be nothing 'fab' on my usual favorite channels like the History or Travel channel- Which is okay, I can never stay up too late on Sunday evenings, I have to work the next day. Everything as usual. Right?
Nope.
As I was flipping through the channels, I caught a glimpse of the Duggar family on TLC. Good show, I like it. I'll just set my TV timer and fall asleep watching it.
Two and a half hours of a Duggar's engagement & wedding, three oreo cookies and a glass of milk later...
I set the tv timer for bedtime.
My two cents: Don't stop at TLC while channel surfing at bedtime.
'Cause what will happen is, you'll catch one of their family reality shows and you'll just have to stay up after your bedtime to watch it, which means you'll drag butt the next day at work. Thus regretting staying up too late, unable to decipher doctor scribbles because you'd rather be resting your eyes.
Believe it or not, I'm still trying to recover today. =)
Oh, here's the newly married couple- aren't they adorable? He serenaded her during the ceremony- soooooo sweet!!!

I'm intrigued by this family. I could see myself getting sucked into it too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in and the tip. The last thing I need is another excuse to stay up late :) Hugs
ReplyDeleteToo funny..... I am the same way; and actually I try to just turn the TV off when I get to bed, as to not end up 2 or 3 (or 5) hours later still watching!!
ReplyDeleteLove the Duggars. and TLC for that matter. Did you know they make their own laundry soap? So crafty and awesome they are!
ReplyDeleteI love the Duggar Family. It's filmed about 20 minutes away from where I live. That's just crazy to me!
ReplyDeleteI too am addicted to TLC. All their reality shows are recorded to my DVR much to my husbands dismay-no room for his wrestling! ha ha
ReplyDeleteI do that too. Throw something on the TV to fall asleep to and end up staying awake all night watching it.
ReplyDeleteI had chores to do but I totally got sucked in by that show too, lol, it was cute :0)
ReplyDeleteI've seen this show before.
ReplyDeleteAs a mother of one, I can't even imagine having that many children. Even the potenital jump to 2 is a little scary.
TLC is definitely dangerous.
TLC and Lifetime are both HUGE time suckers!!! I have lost many hours of my life to them both!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE TLC. The Duggars, Baby Story, What Not to Wear, Wedding Story, Jon and Kate plus 8...they have the best darn shows!!
ReplyDeleteWhen nothing is on, that is where I go..:)
By the way...my grandma got to watch cooking with Clara on her Sunday visit to my moms, and she loved it! Thanks for sharing!
Hi blog pals!
ReplyDeleteBecky- I'm so glad your Grandma enjoyed Miss Clara. :)
