Aloha Friday!

Yay- It's Aloha Friday! My Aloha Friday question is:

What is the one kind of food that you know you will never even try once?

Me?

One word.

Seven letters.

Octopus.

You know that saying... you couldn't pay me.

That would apply here. =)

What about you? What couldn't we pay you to eat?

Head on over to An Island Life for more Aloha Friday questions and to play.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. That is just a revolting picture! I've tried calamari, escargot and frog's legs, but I will never, ever try liver. NEVER!

  4. Right there with you on this one. I will do clams, oysters and things (from time to time), but I draw the line with Henry's cousin ;)

  5. I can't do escargot. My husband tried it last fall at Disney but I couldn't come near it.

I've tried calamari and cuttlefish (squid/octopus like critter) and it was ok but I couldn't eat it on a regular basis and not in a large quantity.

  6. I'm with you on the calamari! No way. Never never. Another one for me is escargot. I know it is MOSTLY stuffing with snail mixed in but still. Is it really necesary to eat such things when we have yummy chicken and beef so readily available? I rest my case!
    Have a great Friday!

  9. LOL! I don't mind octopus, it just depends on how it's cooked. I don't like it when it's super chewy. ;-)

I will never eat any live bugs, a la 'Fear Factor'. Never ever.

  10. There is not much I won't try, but I do not think I could ever try the eggs in the Philippines with the baby birds in them.

  11. I agree with Deb, Rocky Moutain Oysters takes the cake. Or anything in the animal reproductive parts related category. Nasty.

  12. I forgot the polite term for bull balls until I saw the comment above. Never ever would I try Rocky Mountain Oysters. Ewww!

  13. Hi, Jennifer, Thanks for stopping by last week. Hope you had a great weekend! About the jewelry -- classes and self-taught. Also have a neighbor who is super-crafty. Jewelry-making is so great because it is so helpful -- birthdays, Christmas, teacher's gifts, etc. The most fun I have is when I get to make things that are custom and sort of expensive. Like bracelets for family members with birthstones, gemstones, etc. If I bought them these things they would be SO much more expensive. You don't need many tools to start -- just a couple. And bead stores? Oh, so ADDICTING! :) Thanks again for stopping by. :) Hope to 'see' you soon!

  14. I think I would try anything--so I'm going to have to go with some kind of live bug (like on Fear Factor). Though I *might* try one for the right price!!
