Aloha Friday! Vitamins

Woo-hoo! It's Aloha Friday!

My Aloha Friday question is:

Do you take vitamins?

I've been curious as to how many people take vitamins on a daily basis.
I don't take a multi-vitamin everyday, but I do take folic acid and a chewable calcium tab when I can remember daily.
I've wondered if I should be taking some Omega's, too.

So, tell me, what's your vitamin(s) of choice? =)

  1. Yes, I take a multi vitamin every day and it makes a huge impact on my energy level. (That reminds me I forgot to take it this morning!) Anyhoo...I highly recommend it. I believe the brand name of the one I take is OneSource, and both my husband and I take the same kind.

  2. I'm taking a chewable vitamin by Centrum - which is more important now that I'm pregnant and luckily was doctor approved because I hate swallowing pills!

  3. I still take my pre-natal every day. I'm not pregnant and don't plan on having kids anytime soon. Maybe it's just a habit! Should I switch to something different?

  5. I used to take a multi vitamin and calcium too but have been horrible about it for the past year. I do like Adora (these yummy chocolate calcium supplements) and will eat those occasionally. I guess I need to start up again.

  6. only b/c I'm pregnant! I take my prenatal vitamins...pretty much every day! I try my best to remember! But when I'm not pregnant...nope! I bought folic acid and I probably remembered once every week!

I don't take anything. i want to, but am not sure as to what I should take. i'm glad you asked this question, i'll come back later and read your comments, which sounds really nosey. wow. sorry. but i'm interested in what everyone says, does and takes. i was thinking of taking the Centrum One A Day for weight loss only because I want to tone up and loose some weight and I heard that is a really good idea to take a vitamin to get better results and to stay healthy.

  8. I am out of habit of taking vitamins daily...I have actually been thinking about getting some more. GNC has a Woman's Multi Vitamin that I think is pretty good. I will either get that one or a Pre-natal Vitamin.

  9. I know I should take them, especially the calcium, but I don't(I did while prego's though). The only thing I take is B12 when I am feeling sluggish and Apple Cider Vinegar pills for muscle cramps (really really works for ANY type of cramps) and when I retain water (really really works for that too!) The ACV pills are really a wonder pill for me because I still have really bad back and leg cramps 'that time of the month' even though I have had a hysterectomy.

  10. I'm finishing up the bottle of pre-natal vitamins I have then will switch to a multi-vitamin. I also take folic acid, calcium, and omega 3.

  11. I give my kids chewable vitamins everyday, but I am neglectful when it comes to myself. (I need to improve)

  12. Daily womans multi/prenatal, extra C and msm (when I remember)I once did the whole fish oil thing *gag* no thanks, lol. And of course my tot gets a flinstone chewy and sometimes extra c & msm powdered drink mix :0)

  13. It take Vitamin C everyday. I'm prone to common cough and colds so my doctor advised me to drink Vitamin C daily.

  14. I know that I should be taking a vitamin. I guess I'm halfway there because I make sure my daughter takes her vitamins everyday! Now if I could do it for myself that would be great!

  15. I take a multi, calcium, B6 and C every day! I should be taking an Omega also but I haven't started that yet.

  19. I used to be so good at taking my multi vitamin and calcium pills. Apparently the birth of my second little guy threw me off my game. I ams trying to get back into things since he is almost 2 now.

  20. I take a One A Day Womens daily. I've been giving my teen daughters the one a day for teens. My son takes chewy things. I figure that I know they say actually EATING good food is better for vitamin absorbtion, but it certainly can't hurt.

  24. I just take Vitamin C because of a side affect I have from Topomax for my headaches. The C helps me not get tingly feeling in my hands and feet. (I am hoping it also helps me stay well from the common cold!) If it wasn't for that side affect I would have areally hard time remembering to take a vitamin.

  28. I have a multi-vitamin.. that I take daily, when I remember... which really equals to a couple times a week. I've got to get better at that!! Aloha!
