Aloha Friday! Frugal?

Photobucket

Yay! It's Aloha Friday!

My Aloha Friday question is:

Are you frugal? A little? Not at all? Or a total frugalista??

Photobucket

I'm sooo frugalicious! :D
Not on everything.
But, on most.
I love bargains.
I love garage sales.
I love that being frugal sometimes leads to getting back to basics.
I love freecycle.
I love that there are so many ways to be both frugal and 'green'.

Didn't I just hear somewhere that being green and frugal is the new black? =)

So spill, are you frugalicious?

Head on over to An Island Life for more Aloha Friday questions and to play.

Have a fabulous weekend!
-Jen

  5. Oh, I'm pretty frugal. When it comes to clothing, I don't buy it unless it's on sale. Any time I make a major purchase, I hunt online and in stores for the best price. However, when it comes to grocery shopping being set in my ways gets the better of me. I have to buy name brand in most products. But, I use coupons!!

  6. Yes, I too love a good bargain! I even save ALL my pennies and roll them to deposit in the bank! I know where to shop for good food bargains and take advantage of any coupons for products.

  8. I am so frugalishis just like you. I didn't use to like yard sales but anymore I feel like a good deal is so worth the look. I have a sitter who buys all name brands for her boys and she keeps giving me hand me downs. I love that because I have been given so fab cloths. I have no issue with hand me downs and I love a good bargin when I am shopping. I buy nothing unless it is a good deal.

  9. I shop sale ads (especially at outlets), comparison shop (online), clip coupons and am a huge fan of CVS and Rite Aid thanks to their great money saving programs.

  12. Yes ~ I am very frugal. Example ~ When my husband points out I have way too many golf shoes, I remind him that I bought ALL of them on E-bay (brand new, of course) with the most expensive pair being $18.95 plus shipping - really! :) These are all shoes that retail for anywhere from $85 - $135! Also, I do shop at Consignment shops as well as take my own things there. Always looking for sales - I'm not Cheap, but, frugal?? I think so - we all should be these days with the way the economy is!!

  13. i'm usually not that frugal. i'm the type of person who walks into a store where everything is half off and buys the one item in the store that isn't for sale...

  19. I wish I was more frugal than I am. I love to shop but I try to stay on the sale/discount racks. It helps some but I have a ways to go.

  20. Hey! It depends on what it is if I want to be frugal or not :)

  21. I'm pretty frugal on most things, but I don't go all out. I don't coupon anymore due to lack of making time for it. But we do eat at home most of the time, instead of going out. When gas prices started going up last summer, I tried to "hyper-mile" to get the most out of a tank. I still do that.

  23. sometimes? these days I only buy stuff on sale, but as my husband says, it isn't a bargain if you are buying stuff you don't really need, and I guess you could say I don't really NEED a lot of the stuff I buy.

    teach me, master jenn!

  24. I have to admit that I'm not that frugalicious! If I se something I want, I'm an "in the monent" kind of person. I can be frugal about certain things, though!
